Help with Zone Dealer Codes

Hi, I have a 1970 LS5 and from what I can see on the Corvette Order Copy the Zone is 27 and the Dealer is 219. From the POP the original owners address was in Huntington, NY with a delivery date of 4/24/70. Any help identifying the dealership would be great. Thanks

You are correct zone 27 is New York zone (metro/long Island)

Dealer codes are in alphabetical order and dealer 218 is Richard Chev. I bet the dealer you seek begins with an R.

Dealer 219 in zone 27 was in Hicksville NY (Long Island) i have an old book from Anchor Motor Freight that lists the city and state but not the dealers name.

Thanks everyone for the great information! After getting the last piece of information that the dealership was located in Hicksville NY, I did an internet search and came up with Robert Chevrolet, which celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2007. I plan on calling them to try and check what their dealer code is and how long they may have had it. Thanks and I will post an update. Greg

I called Robert Chevrolet and they said that they were not in zone 27 and that their dealer number was not 219. I completely missed their name and address on the POP booklet, which shows them as the original selling dealership. My question is does anyone have a car that came from:

Robert Chevrolet
27 First Street
Hicksville, N.Y.

circa 1970 and if they do, could they check their window sticker for the zone/dealer number that is listed.

Greg, My 1966 Impala SS was sold new at Robert Chevrolet. I had a window sticker made up for the car by Triple A, I believe that I supplied them with the info of zone 27 dealer 219. I am local to Robert Chevrolet and have questioned them regarding their dealer # from the mid 60's time frame, they were unable to confirm the # 219. I may just drop in on them tomorrow and shake the tree again. I will le tyou know my findings. BTW my car never went in for warranty work so the pages in the POP booklet are al unused.

Wow Brian, that sounds great. Please let me know what you find out. I was thinking about asking if they had any of the original sales records from long ago, but that odds of that happening would be long.

I believe that it is under the same family ownership since 1957, they did make a short move within Hicksville during the late 60's, I will see what I can find out.

Hi Brian.

I did send a tank sticker pic and info to Al some time back .

He was not able to identify the dealer, and was not willing to share his info with me on those dealer #'s closest numericaly to enable me to try and narrow it down further (alphabetically) myself. I have been slowly picking up additional info here and there and I'm sure will eventually suceed. Geez - you'd think this stuff was a state secret or something.....

Glenn, The list i have does not have zone 29. What part of the country is zone 29???
