    1970 Rallye Wheel Paint

Can anyone suggest a supplier for the correct silver (and the black for the back side of the wheel)? Quanta no longer carries the stuff and the Eastwood website doesn't give any indication that their silver paint would be correct for my application (I am waiting on a call from someone at Eastwood's technical support line).

    Thanks.

Based on recommendations I tried OEM's silver-green paint and was very disappointed. I ordered 3 cans, at $30 per can, and each one did not have the correct pale silver-green appearance in my opinion. I'm now trying to have a local painter mix the proper color, but it's proving elusive.

I used the Eastwood Rally Wheel Silver on my '67 rally's and it is pretty close to the shade that was on them before restoring (if not dead on).

All the major vendors sell a variant of Argent Silver that should be usable. The backside is painted in semi-gloss black. Actually, it was dip primed semi gloss and the front only shot in Argent, so there could be some over spray through the slots.

Methods for obtaining the proper shade of green for the wheels are in the archives...basically it is adding several drops of medium green tint to the silver wheel paint.

Hi Chuck. I had my painter do that until the color looked perfect, and then had him put it in rattle cans, but the color always came out with a slight blue tint.
We are next going to try spraying that color without putting it in rattle cans, just in case something in the cans is affecting the color.
