Holley 3810 Date Code

Can anyone help me out with a Holley Date code. It is a 3810 with a date code of 2549. I thought the 4 digit codes started after 1972, so would this be a 1979 carburator? The metering block is stamped 4743. Appreciate any help on this. Thank you,

Probably a 1979 carb with the 4743 metering block, but could be a a 1989 or possibly a 99, but not likely. They changed the metering block number in later years but not sure when.

If it has slotted fuel bowl screws and any slotted body screws it is probably a 1979 carb, they went to hex and all phillips in the 80's
