C-3 Expansion tanks

Was the letter 'I' used on dated expansion tanks? The JG begins the explanation of dated tanks starting with 'A', 'B'.....but is silent on whether the 'I' was included. I believe some date coded items skip the letter 'I' to avoid confusion with the number '1'.

The "I" character was only used on raised casting dates - not used on stamped date codes.
