Plug wire clips on oil pan flange (midyear 327)

I'd like to confirm the location of the two sparkplug wire clips (3744409) that position the wires for the front two cylinders. That is, which oil pan machine screw(s) hold these clips? A location relative to the block drain pipe plug would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Fourth hole up from the rear on the drivers side and count five holes up from the rear of the engine on the passenger side. Spark plug wire shields will line up perfectly when installed. Good Luck.

That puts the LH clip in the arc near the dipstick tube, and the RH clip some 3" further forward in the vicinity of the block drain pipe plug. Seems odd that they'd be staggered like this. I didn't pay attention when I disassembled engine for rebuild & all illustrations I've looked at are poor.

      Thanks.

        Jeff.
It does seem odd initially until the spark plug wire V-shields are installed.
I have 2 small block 67's to use as references.
