First I'll say I'm a new member and think this site is extraordinary. I've been on and of for days and basically haven't left my garage. I've found dates on parts of my car I wasn't aware of. My question is regarding seat belt label dates. My car is a 1967 with body build date of December 8th, 1966 and everything so far is in proper sequence. The engine assembly date is October 18th, 1966. I have the tank sticker and POP. Both seat belt labels read the same with Hamill 1967 above Model C10 and both are dated 49E74. From what has been posted before, the 49 would be the last week of November which preceeds the cars birthday of December 9th (according to the VIN) but does the 74 perhaps indicate a service replacement even though it says Hamill 1967?

Re: 67 Seat Belt Dates
Thomas,
I had a set of 1967 seat belts with a 1973 GM service replacement date also on a 1967 Coupe. The webbing, retractors, boots, and male and female bucklle assemblies were all correct for a 1967 Corvette except for, of course , the date on the label. Solution, remove the existing labels and sew on a reproduction, correctly dated label. Many vendors sell them. Or take a small deduction on the judging field. Good Luck- Top
