Gerard,

You helped with great photos of your carb a few days ago. I'm looking to correct my AC/Heater hoses as well. I looked in the archives and saw that you helped another guy with a small block, A/C, 71 vette. Do you have photos of these hoses as well? I'm trying to make sure I purchase the right kind. I have the Tech Manual and it mentions the U or DL stamp but not much about GM stamps.

I appreciate your help and I hope you don't mind me putting your name in the Thread as I did!!!???

Heater Hose help

The 1970-1972 TIM&JG should say nothing about the GM stamps on the heater hoses because they are not there in 1969-1972.

Greg, as Terry states the GM stamp is not referenced in the JG. I would defer to the judging guide for all questions concerning correctness. Having said that here are a few shots of my heater and ac hoses. The upper ac hose (part of the ac muffler assembly) is a service replacement. This caused a 2 pt deduction on originality. My heater hoses do have a GM logo stamped on them. Although the JG does not call for this they were judged correct (no point loss) at a regional.

My best advise is to use the JG when in doubt and look at as many low mileage original cars as possible. My car is frame off restored. It has a combination of original, NOS and service replacement parts and may not be the best candidate to judge from.
