Thanks to John Lejsal of the Texas Chapter for putting together an awesome 1600 mile plus road tour of the Big Bend area of southwest Texas. Couple of photos of the high desert scenery attached. 19 Corvettes and 38 Texas Chapter members participated in the 6 day road trip. Enjoy the photos. Regards, Gary....

Great Pics. Makes me envious of those of you living in warmer climates.

I especially liked seeing a couple of mid-years amongst the crowd of air conditioned and comfortable c5's and c6's. Hats off to the hardy souls who drove the distance in all of the comfort afforded by a mid 60's Corvette.

Michael, we had two 64's (my red and Gary's blue), one C4 and the rest were as you noted, C5's and C6's. We had a blast....8 days all up for a couple of us, 7 days for others. John does a great job of organizing our annual Road Tour.

Charlie - Great stuff. How did your 64 run? I'm getting ready for a trip this summer in my 66 roadster on Rte 66 with my son. We're starting in Chicago and driving all the way to Santa Monica. We are excited about it... even without AC!

All I can say is there is nothing like this in Iowa! I had a great time, John L. did a great job, we got to see the Big Bend National Park and alot of history from that part of the state. I have already made up my mind that my wife and I will do it next year. That is if I can get my car out of the snowbank up here.
