Intake Vacuum Hose

I am putting new vacuum hoses on my '73 L82 4spd. Doc Rebuild sent me a molded hose to use from the intake to vacuum filter and it has a white or silver stripe.

I have seen what looks like a molded hose on some '72 and prior years, but all the '73's I look at have a straight, black hose from the intake to filter. Depending on the orientation of the intake fitting that hose may be looped around, but I see no 90 degree "molded bend" at the intake.
I've looked at Dobbin's book and some others.

Can anyone help me out on this one?

The hose that I removed from my L48 during restoration was straight with a white stripe. No molded bends. I beleive it to have been the factory piece as it matched the piece of tubing that went through the firewall to the light switch. That piece of tubing was 'stuck' in place by an errant glob of sealant meant for the winshield wiper area.

Thanks Mike,
I was pretty sure it shouldn't have a bend in it but I didn't know about the white stripe from the intake.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has different configurations.
