1969 Air Conditioning blower does not work on low or middle speed

My 69 a/c blower does not work on low or middle speed. I replaced the relay and fuse is good. High speed works fine. Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like the resistor is burned out. It is located on the top of the heater box on the RH side of the car. Should have 4 (3?) prongs sticking up. Usually replacing this will cure your problem

Whiich relay? On my '70 there is one under the shift console and one under the hood on the passenger side. I assume your fan switch is good. I currently have the same problem but I'm not going to worry about it until I get a new accumulator and orifice screen before I recharge the AC system.

Thanks Dick, I'll check out the resistor

I changed the relay under the console and the horn relay, and the blower relay on the passenger side of the car. Dick said it could be the resistor which may be burned up above the heater box on the passenger side. Hope thats it, sounds like an easy fix. Ha!
          Thanks, Jim

Are these unique to Corvette or will any blower motor resistor for GM vehicles of that era work?

            Thanks,
            Scott

I stand to be corrected but I think that resistor was used on the full GM line for maybe 10-15 years. I think that it is available yet from GM or aftermarket.

I really prefer relays that have Delco-Remy embossed on them and resistors that are correct in function and appearance. Functional replacements are easily spotted. The heater box resistor is triangular shaped if I recall correctly. Is the current GM issue just like it?
Again, thanks, Dick for your help.
