I have a white top on my 63 that is very dirty and I'm not sure I can get it as clean as I want to. (I just bought the car and it came with a hardtop, so it looks like the softtop never went up!)

The top is in great shape, but just dirty. I was told that I could clean it up very well and to use SEM product vinyl spray for flexible surfaces. I'm not sure if I want a white top again or to change it to black.

My question is "Has anyone use this cleaner and spray dye on their tops?"

If so, were you satified with the results and was it very difficult to use?

A really good product. It will probably eventually crack were the top folds.

It will DEFINITELY crack at the folds - don't do it.

Thanks to Wayne & John for their replies. It looks like I'll clean mine for a while and put a new top on later this year.

I've used Wesley's Bleach White whitewall cleaner on a white conv. top with great results, be sure to keep the painted surfaces wet with water.
