Can anyone tell me what thickness the non adhesive tape used to wrap the harnesses together was?

Re: 1969 Wiring Harness tape
Hi Rick,
The tape on my 71's engine harness measured 1 3/16" in width.
Regards,
Alan
PS: I put the extra space in the dimension because otherwise it looks like 13/16" which it's not.71 Coupe, 350/270, 4 speed

Re: 1969 Wiring Harness tape
Bill Clupper has the answer -- he has posted it before -- on the old board. He worked for Packard Electric -- the makers of the wiring harnesses. I think the width changed in 1969, but it is best to let him speak.Terry- Top

Re: 1969 Wiring Harness tape
1.3 inch wide, .007 thich non-adhesive backed vinyl tape. The start of the 1969 model year was the first year for the 1.3 inch tape, prior years used 1 inch. A nice old lady got a $10,000 suggestion award (maximum at the time for suggesting the change.Bill Clupper #618- Top
