Re: 1970 wiper blade refills?
Mike-----
I know what the correct GM part number is. However, I don't know if the inserts once available under that number are exactly the same as this Trico-branded product. In terms of FUNCTIONAL equivalency, I don't doubt these will work. As far as being EXACTLY the same as those used in PRODUCTION and supplied in ORIGINAL SERVICE to GM by Trico, I do not know.
One can get down to incredibly fine "nuances" with respect to wiper blades and inserts. Even if these are the exact same thing as that supplied under the original GM part number, that doesn't mean they are exactly the same as those used in PRODUCTION. Minor changes occurred over the years of manufacture. So, if these are exactly the same thing as supplied to GM and IF they were manufactured about the same time as the original PRODUCTION pieces, they are likely the same. If not, who knows?
The original inserts were specified by GM as being 15-7/8" long. That may or may not be the actual length of these inserts which are packed as "16 inch".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 1970 wiper blade refills?
Looked at some Trico replacement blades made in the 70's for my 71 but they didn't have 2 ribs and no patent numbers. I don't know how they would be judged. Bought some stock replacements and kept my original for judging until I find something better.- Top

Mike - The TRICO LP-16 refills are TRICO refills for ANCO windshield wiper blades with the red or gray button. You might be able to make them work, but they will not fit readily into TRICO wiper blade holders. Pete- Top
