    '69 gas door

Can anyone tell me if there is a washer under the screws that attach the gas door to the hinge? The AIM indicates a "P Washer". The Dobbins book clearly shows an external tooth lock washer. The photo in the Bizzoco book is unclear. I'm pretty sure the screws are chromed- are the washers, if any, also? Thanks for your help.

There was an external tooth star washer used with the screws that retain the filler door to the filler door hinge. Both the screws and the washers were chrome plated.

      Joe:
Thanks very much for the reply. What does "P washer" mean? I thought that it meant "plain washer". I always understood "L washer" to be a lock washer. Again, thanks.

"P-washer" does mean "plain" washer (i.e flat washer). However, the washer part number specified, GM #138482, was an external tooth star washer. So, there's a conflict here no matter how you look at it.
