    C2 Dust shield

    Hello I am a new member and would like to ask a question in preparing my 67 for NCRS judging. Is the dust shield to be tucked under the A-arm exposing the top of the shock absorber showing the threads or left covering the A-arm and Shock?

    Any comments as to the biggest mistake made by a car being shown for flight judging the 1stv time out?

    Should be tucked under exposing the shock stud and washer. As far as having it judged for the first time, make sure things in the OPERATION section work. These are 25 points per item. You could clean it for months and not make up for a couple of failures in op's.

        Agree with Page 100%, start with the BIG things, Ops is the biggest, and don't forget the Bonus items, 10 free points for a battery cutoff, Fire extinguisher (does not have to be mounted in the car) and an NCRS window decal. Don't sweat the "onesies" untill you have the serious stuff under control. While playing with the dust shields, remember they were installed in the car when the blackout process was performed, so unpainted staples are a no-no, and stainless steel staples are just plain wrong!
