I am having a tough time finding a chrome shop to re-chrome T top and windshield trim. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Chrome shops
If you look in the "old" archives, I thought they were flash chrome plated stainless, like the trim rings.

Re: Chrome shops
I agree, the trim is smack chrome plated...flash chrome is an incorrect terminology. I polished my T-top side trims, and they had a definite straw color to them after polishing. The trim must be "smack" chrome plated to match the "blue" color of the other chrome on the car.
There was a recent thread on platers. To find it, all I had to do was type "smack chrome plating" as key words in the search window. There was a good post explaining "smack" chrome plating and also a source. See here:

Re: Chrome shops
Weren't there 4 cast pieces of trim that were indeed chrome plated? 1 at each outer end of the windshield header and 1 on the horizontal lip surface of the 'halo' at each end (a long thin piece)?
Now, pure opinion based on one 71 coupe.
The only piece of Coupe windshield SS trim that was flash chromed was the large 'I' shaped piece that is on the front to rear 'bar' and joins the 4 cast pieces mentioned above. It's at these 4 points that you could see the difference in the color between the bare stainless trim and the chromed pieces. So, I think Chevrolet flash chromed that one piece of SS only. On a convertible, I would think just the piece of SS trim that is on the windshield header would be flash chromed.
