    C3 Power Window Motor Help

I Have An 80 Power Window Question--the Motor Stopped All The Way Down. I Can Hear The Motor Click When I Press "down", But Nothing Happens (no Click, Nothing) When Pressed For "up". I Get 12 Volts On Both The Blue To Ground And Brown To Ground With The Wires Disconnected From The Motor. I Have Continuity On Both The Blue And Brown Wires, Showing I Do Not Have A Broken Wire.
From This, I Thought That The Motor Must Be Bad. I Bought A New Motor. It Does The Exact Same Thing--goes Fine In One Direction But Does Not Work In The Other Direction.
Please Help--at This Point, I Am Really Confused.

Power windows are certainly not an area of expertise for me. However, I think I might suspect a problem with the power window switch. It's still available from GM under GM #1725109 but it's a bit expensive at about 65 bucks, GM list.

Joe--I thought the same thing, so I installed a new switch. I get 12 volts on each wire when in the up or down position--could it be 2 bad motors?

2 bad motors seems very unlikely to me. There may be other components in that system that are at fault.

          In my humble opnion:
can you tes or does the motor (either one) work correctly out of the car?
can you test it or them separately on a bench with just leads from a 12 volt source?
          regards,,,joe
