Re: Stinky 63 340hp
Last time I changed between carbs, when I disconnected the line from the filter to the carb, there was still pressure in the line which to me indicated the Tomco valves were still holding. This was after sitting over night and with a full cool down. I have pressure tested the valves using air and soap bubbles to be certain the seat gaskets were sound. I'm fairly certain the fuel that is already in the bowls is what is boiling out. Perhaps if enough leaves the bowl, they may the valves may open more to let in make up fuel and feed the problem, sort of like osmosis. I don't know.
What worries me the most is the gas in the oil. It is very evident by smell of the dip stick, so I have to change it again tomorrow.
