'62 Underhood Blackout Question?

Hi,
Does anyone have a picture of the correct way the blackout should be done at the front edge of the hood? Does the black go completely to the front leading edge with no color showing on the inside lip at all?

Your description is correct. A u-shaped mask was hung on the hood with the hood propped up as they did the blackout process.

Mike: Should that edge at the front lip be a soft line? Not like a masking tape one.

Gary--good point. They didn't tape the mask on, they hung it on, and because of that, the line was not at all crisp. This was production-line stuff!
