male hood latches 1960

im getting ready to replate my male hood latches (all disassembled) it appears all parts but the spring were a gold color (which appears black to me)specifically the mount plate, the upper spring retainer, the lower spring seat, the main bolt, and the spring.silver or gold or black. thanks

The Judging Guide states that rear latches and hood locks were cadmium plated. The hardware items were installed prior to exterior body painting and engine compartment blackout painting; various degrees of paint overspray from blackout process.
