C2 Antenna Cable

I am in the middle of installing a new antenna cable in my 66 roadster. The one I received from Corvette America will not fit into the antenna fitting. The OD on the new cable end (on the left in the attached photo) is too large to fit into the antenna fitting. The old cable end (on the right in the photo) has a smaller OD.

Does anybody have some ideas here? Did Corvette America send me the wrong cable or do I have an antenna that has a different fitting than original?

Just shooting from the hip here, it must be the wrong one, I put one on my 67 from Long Island, it fit great.

I got one from Paragon for my 66 several years ago and it fit just fine. As I remember it looked like the original cable as well.

It appears the antenna was replaced by the original owner. It does not accept the original cable. I ended up splicing the old cable end on to the new cable with a splicing kit from Radio Shack. It worked!

It may lose some points in judging but it works!
