Must say, this has been a somewhat heartwarming thread to read - and it does a good job of expressing what we try to do here and on the judging field... Help our fellow members and pass the knowledge on.
However, my main concern is with Dickie W's head. Is that an antenna growing out of your scalp or what... Dipstick

Only if you want to KEEP the car you have and perhaps acquire another; if your car is a non-power sterring car, I would reccomend moving the tie rod ends to the Power Steering connections; then you look for an autocross in your area that uses "tight" layouts; your opening line is something like "Honey, this is the IDEAL place to learn about the car - no traffic,.....".
After she abandons the car in mid-course and you retrieve it, You might want to remember to NEVER say the word "autocross" in her presence.
