Help Needed---DOT Photo

Hi All,

I'm working on a submitted article for an upcoming issue of The Restorer about tires. Unfortunately neither the author, nor I have a tire manufactured prior to the year 2000. If anyone could assist and take a close up of the DOT and date code of a tire manufactured prior to 2000 it would allow me to illustrate a point the author makes...Thanks in advance for your help...

Vinnie, I'll get you one today from an 88-89 era tire, I'll send in CCD RAW format, as the instructions to my camera say it will do this, now I only have to figure out how. I may include a JPG as a backup!

I can get a 1971 dated tire if that would help more than the 88-89 tire.

I have 1970-1972 era F70X15 Goodyear RWL, if you need images. The ones prior to January 1971 will have different codes than those after that date, so not all in my collection will illustrate what the point the author is making. Let me know if you need my help.

You have email including some pics of my repro 7.75 x 15 tire from my '67 spare that I promised you earlier. If you want photos of an original DOT marking from my '69 spare, please let me know. Forgot it's there.
