    67 rocker panels

Are the rear mounting screws threaded into fiberglass or are nuts used?

My original cars had the flat spring steel "H" clips.

The spring nuts are shown in the '67 A.I.M. in section 1Asm, sheet F4.

        Re: 67 rocker panels

Everything works OK with the screws and flat spring nuts in the front. I am having problems with the rear. The screws sent with the mounting package are too short to be used in the rear. I don't understand how I could incorrectly assemble the rocker panel to result in the screw not fitting. The reference numbers for the screws and nuts are crossed out in the copy of the assembly manual that I have.

        Any ideas?

        Thank you,

        Randy

It appears thet your issue is with the screw length from those in the kit.
The factory application I mentioned earlier had unusually long screws, about 3/8" surplus.

I had the same issue with the screw length being too short. Had to find longer replacements that were a close match.
