    Ignition Interlock

Ebay motors presently has what is reportedly 1968, 1969, 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Corvette Chevelle Ignition Lock Starting Instructions Sleeve.

I think it is not applicable to 1968 and most 1969 Corvettes until the visor sleeve was used. But does this look like the correct one for later 1969's? Any comments???

Should have a publication date on it. I forget if '69 used a cable from the trans or just a lever to release. If Cable, then it looks ok if the date corresponds.

Hi Bill, I was posting the information for others and as a seperated response to an earlier post which I cannot locate. My '69 car SN 2623 should have the column sticker although it is long gone and there are no reminants remaining.

My '69 SN 5854 has a 2 piece paper label on the column. I believe if the car had this then it did not get any visor or other label.

1968's definitely used no label. There was no interlock for 1968. The ignition switch was still on the dash.

1969's all had the full interlock (with cable from lower steering column to transmission).

However, my September, 1969-built car never had either a column label NOR a visor sleeve.
