    Wiper Arm Question -'66 C2

I have been told that the correct wiper arms on an early '66 car should be brushed (or non shiny), instead of polished stainless steel. Is that correct, and how far back were brushed wiper arms used?
Thanks for any info in advance.

    According to the Judging Guide:

"Early cars may have a bright finish wiper arm assembly like that used on the 1965 model year."

If memory serves, Noland Adams talks to this running change in his Complete Corvette Restoration, Vol 2 book describing the transition from highly polished SS to a Lee Brushed finish on both the arms and blade holders. Most likely, like other running changes, there's an 'approximate' change over date with assy line production being mixed thereafter with old vs. new styles until the on-hand inventory of older, polished, parts was exhausted....
