Single Black Steel Rim -- $$$ gone mad

Please educate me. Seller (eBay of course) offering a SINGLE black steel rim that looks suspiciously like a '63-64, and has a fabrication stamping of '64' and '7', which I'd guess is July of 1964.

Seller's description is clueless (clever like a fox ?) implying a '57 to '62 Big Brake rim; possibly '63 to '65 (?).

Bidding is at $1076. with almost 2 days to go. That's for one wheel, folks !

Last week a set of 63 replacement wheels(not correct for original) sold for over $1000. NUTS!

That fellow had that very rim listed last week as a 57-62 Big Brake wheel. He was told that it was incorrectly listed and relisted it as it is now. The listing is pretty clear although he still makes ???? reference to Big Brakes. It is very obvious it is a mid year wheel which is a somewhat common item. Given the fact it is welded instead of riveted makes it obvious that it is not a Big Brake wheel. The 64 date also tells it all. Some two people are bidding on it like is a Big Brake wheel. Amazing.

That's clearly a 63/64 rim. Does not have a GM stamp on the inside raised spider which probably means it's a Kelsey Hayes replacement rim not made for GM. It's still the same thing as the GM made rim.
