C-3, door alignment receivers & deck lid

1970 Corvette. On the convertible door pillars are the door alignment pin receivers body color, or something else? (I know the pins are chrome)

What is painted, plated or natural on the underside of the soft top deck lid?

    Thanks,
    Scott

The receivers were black with a rubber cushion and a brass sleeve. The handles were painted body color with the underside of the deck lid. A good picture of an original lid would be your best form of help.

The receivers on the door jambs were brass and black rubber? I'm speaking of those round hollow metal receives that the door pin enters on convertible doors. These were used to align driver and passenger the doors to keep them from sagging. Weren't tose painted over when the body was painted?

Deck lid. Wasn't the underside of the deck lid painted the same as the body but rather in a dullish paint? Not exactly certain but I believe that the release handles, cable, hinges, etc. were painted except the lid latches and the round rubber soft top hold down(s). The latches were either natural or black phosphate.

I wish I could find someone who had photos of an untouched, original deck lid underside.

      Thanks,
      Scott

The main part of the receiver bracket is black then the brass receiver is held in place with rubber. It was installed after paint.

The deck lid underside was painted with the car so the hinges and release handles were painted. Most other parts were unpainted.
