C3 Ign Shields: What have I got?

Picked these up from eBay...great price. Guy bought a 69 back in mid-late 70s' and these were in the trunk (that's what he wrote). Two of the numbers reconcile with my 78 AIM but they may have been called on earlier years except part number series suggests a late 70's series.

I think I figured this out...it's easier to upload at 2:30 AM than 5:00 PM. See below for more

This'll have to wait...forum doesn't like the size I'm submitting tho they are under the published guidelines. Did a work around...apologize for the links.

The top photo looks like a GM #3923969 which was used for the left side, rear position for 1968-1979 Corvettes.

From what I can see of it, the second photo looks like a GM #3934833 which was used for the left side, front position for 1968-E70.

The third photo is a GM #3980192 (as ink-stamped on the part) and was used for the right side, rear position for 1970-79 Corvettes.

The fourth photo shows GM #3728415 wing nuts as used for shielding attachment for 1957+ Corvettes.

The top photo is obviously a GM #3923969 used for the left side rear position for 1968-79. However, it looks to be configured a little differently from what I would expect. It might be an example produced after there was a change in the specs for the part.

I can't tell what the second photo is from this picture.

I've taken a photo with the two 3923969s but the application won't allow me to upload...says image exceeds by 22 KB...but the image is only 31KB. But anyway, the difference is the bottom portion with the non part numbered unit have an indentation for perhaps temp sensor while the part with the GM tag is straight across the bottom

Joe...so this shield would be the most unique among this shield collection?

The other variable is pix size, I think it should be no more than 800 x 600

I'm having the same issue uploading pictures here.
It says they're too big, when they're not.

I think this is the same issue we have at the VH site.

I now think that the top photo is a GM #3934218 which was used for 1968-E70 for the front, right position. It was discontinued about 1982.

I believe that the change in the 3923969 probably occurred to eliminate interference with the clutch cross shaft. I don't know when the change occurred in PRODUCTION, though. It would be interesting to find out.
