Who makes the most accurate reproduction of carpet on the market today for the 70-72 cars. Is their a difference in a automatic set vs. a four speed car? Thanks

Re: carpet
Romeo does have the heel pad with the IMCO logo. I bought it! The logo is large and prominent compared to my original. The quality of the carpet does not SEEM to be as good as Al Knock's. Getting the carpet from Romeo is an experience in itself. In my next life, I will send my old heel pad to Knock to sew on to the new carpet using the old sewing holes in the old heel pad! Sure I will!!!

Re: carpet
I just looked in Dr. R's catalogue, and he does list 4-speed and auto sets. So it appears you could have the wrong set for your car.

Re: carpet
I purchsed a carpet set from Romeo Engineering and am just now trying to correct the issue of the fit on the passenger side on my '69 auto transmission car next to the transmission tunnel. I had no choice when I ordered it several years ago. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the "lump" out of the thing?

Re: carpet
I purchased from Al Knock for my restoration.
My car is cut pile --
Pretty much dead-on. Nice fit, I had to do the bare minimum of triming to fit it.
I still have all the original carpeting in the rear of the car, did not fade at all. I compared tint and texture to Al's carpet - VERY, VERY close.- Top
