re advise on buffing / polishing stainless

I was noticing around the windshield small scratches etc.
Would anyone have a link or advise on polishing it ?
Is this a job that can be done with time and patience.
Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm about to do the same thing on my 63. I am repalcing the windshield so I have the trim removed and will polish it before putting it back in place. Are you thinking about trying to polish it in place?

The archives are turned off for a couple of days while John does some maintenance, but there are many threads on this subject there.

Some stainless moldings were plated and polishing will remove the plating resulting in a yellow tint of the molding. Several companies do this work, some more reasonable than others

I removed my moldings during the course of changing the windshield glass and bought a 3600 rpm buffer to polish them. Did them this weekend and they came our very nice. A bit tricky for the inexperienced as I was but with patience and careful handling, it's not really that difficult. Bought all supplies through Caswell.
