62 Fi Pulley Questions

I just have problems to find the corr. Pulleys for my 62 FI. I like to use the idler pulley so I need the 2 groove type. My 3756328 will not work
Have all 327/360 this add. idler pulley ?

Absolutely NO 62 was delivered with the idler pulley. GM documentation indicates it was added later in the year--was never done. I've communicated with a number of original owners over the past 30 years of late FI and 340HP cars--GM never delivered a 62 with the idler pulley setup.

Thanks But on all parts list the Idler pulles goes only on 62`s

If you want to go by lists that parts houses are using to try to sell you parts, go right ahead. If you're asking for advice, and want to listen to someone who has owned 28 62's and documented over 700 over the past 34 years, then listen to him. It's your choice.

Interestingly, while an idler pulley may never have been used in PRODUCTION for any 1962 Corvette, there was once available in SERVICE a unique-to-1962 Corvette idler pulley assembly. That assembly, GM #3825446, was released in mid-1962 and discontinued from SERVICE in April, 1973. This is not the same assembly as used for 1963-65 Corvettes.
