    Body Mount Bolts

Can anyone tell me the specifications on the two body mounting bolts that go along the tunnel (one on each side) that are right behind the seats? Mine are missing and I'd like to get the correct ones. Otherwise, I can re-tap the mounting nuts.

    Thanks,

    jerry

Hi Kevin, I saw that but I really am questioning the description of which bolts. This should have been the same on most midyears but I didn`t understand what bolt he needed info on. I have my body off and have the original bolts plus a new set for a 65 coupethat I can measure for him.

            Mike -

The two body mount bolts Jerry's asking about were only used in '63-'64 - you won't see them (or the frame brackets) on a '65-up car.

I haven't seen those two bolts available separately - just in the '63-'64 body mount "kits"; maybe Paragon can supply them separate from the kit.

I have several left over from a body off job I was doing last year on my 64. I was able to reuse several of my originals. If you tell me what length you need and are willing to pay shipping you can have mine.

              Cheers,
              Craig

Thanks John, I couldn`t figure out where they were but was only familiar with my 65.

                  To all,

Thanks for your replies. Craig, I do not know the length exactly, Maybe 2 to 2 1/2 inches???

This is a 63 roadster and the bolts go on each side of the tunnel, right behand the seats.

                  Thanks

                    Gerald,

I have several sizes to choose from. Two M headmarks are 3" long, 1 old and 1 new WB headmark are 2 1/2" long and 1 WB headmarked which is 2" long. Tell me what you might need. Glad to help.

                    Cheers,
                    Craig

                      Craig.

I'm not concerned with the head markings at this point. Can you give me the SAE spec's?

                      Are they 1/2 x 20, 1/2 X 24 or ????

Then I'll figure out the correct length.

                      Thanks
                      Jerry

                        Jerry,

I am one PHD short of understanding all that. All of these came out of a box of body bolts purchased from Long Island Corvettes. The other one is a true original. If you want to help me understand it a bit more I will try to help. Sorry.

                          Craig,

Sorry for the confusion. The threads on these bolts can be co**** (say 1/2" diameter with 20 threads per inch) of fine @ 24 per inch. If you have a tap/die set, just run the bolts thru the dies until you find the one that goes on the bolt. Then read the stampings on the die. I'll figure out the length myself.

                          Thanks for your help.

                          Jerry
