Just got my new 63-64 JG in the mail. I haven't had time to dig into it yet but it sure looks different! Lot more pages and a LOT of pic's. Really like the TSB's also.

The early printing is correct. Scroll down on the tech board page to the post by Sander Van Ballegoij labeled "1963 Booster Filter/Valve" for the correct answer. He posted a great pic of a 63 master cyl and booster.- Top

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
I have not yet rec'd the new JM for 63-64 so I'm wondering if anyone that has rec'd it can tell me if there are significant judging changes over the last version. I'm in the middle of getting my car ready for the Pittsburgh judging event and do not expect to receive my JM for another 2-3 weeks according to NCRS office.63 FI SWC, Top Flight 2006/2008, PV 2007

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
I recieved my copy today too. All I can say is WOW!!
Here's a Big thanks to Carlton and his Team!!
This manual is well worth the wait and has set a new high water mark for sure. Many of the topics discussed here on the TDB appear to be addressed and the pictures and service bulletins are fabulous.
I can't wait to bring this into play on my restoration.

Tracy
Is there any kind of a summary in the JM that indicates the changes from the previous version?63 FI SWC, Top Flight 2006/2008, PV 2007

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
Just received ours yesterday. This was clearly a tremendous amount of work, and we want to send a special "THANK YOU" to all involved in it's completion. I ordered our JG in December right after we brought the 63 home from VA........it was well worth the wait!!!
Special Thanks,

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
Tracy, I can see you are patting yourself on the back and much deserved. I see you were part of the judging manual revision team. Boy the new manual is huge. Almost twice as thick as the 4th edition. So far I have only looked at FI stuff and see that the accelerator return spring info has not been updated. Now to sit down and hi-lite all the new info as it applies to my 63. Thanks go out to you and the 13-15 individuals that put forth a lot of effort for the new manual. Much appreciated. John D.- Top

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
Hi Nick, You question is a tough one. It's going to take a long time to go thru the manual to check out all the updates. I got mine yesterday and see it has 243 pages. Whew. Thats a lot of reading. Best see when yours is coming old friend as I am sure you and I have some changes to do. I am happy you got your application in for our Pittsburgh show because I do believe that Carltons class is sold out already. Look forward to seeing you there on June 12-14th.- Top

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
1 comment I have is that the Glossary and TSBs pages (94 pages out of 243) could have be a supplement manual "63-64 Glossary and Technical Service Bulletins". Both manuals for the price of one.

Re: 63-64 Judging Guide Arrived
Nick, The new manual is at least 70 pages bigger. It's going to take a lot of time and work to jot down the new updates. No easy way out except to get your own manual and go to work. I for one would like to do that but most likely will not. Glad you are coming to the Pittsburgh regional and got your forms in early as your class is sold out. John D.- Top
