    78 Window adjustments

I am completing restoration and have removed/installed all glass, door/body seals, glass bumpers, ... everthing. Everything is so tight that the glasses will not go up or down with the doors closed. Can't seem to get enough adjustments to make a real difference. Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) they can share?

    Glen,
I'll jump in here for what it's worth. If you have replaced all the weatherstripping around the windows and doors and windshield frame then you will have a very tight fit for awhile. Don't be surprised if you have to lower the windows or put them up with the doors cracked open for a few times/days. Not sure you can adjust them enough to make them slide up or down easly and if you could as soon as the weatherstripping compresses a little more you may have to go in and readjust them again to make them tighter. Try shooting the contact surfaces of the weatherstrip with spray silicone where the windows rub them, it will keep the weatherstrip soft and reduce friction of the glass/rubber contact.
I'm sure someone else will chime in who knows better/adjustments, I'm just trying to be helpful.
    John
