There had been talk of a For Sale Forum on the old discussion board, I was wondering if it will be added to our new and improved board?

Please discuss pro's and cons?

Kevin, not sure about the for sale forum, but since I see that you have a 72, do you have any shots of your engine compartment that you can post? Finishing up going through mine and would like to see a few others.

Jeff,
The 72 that I'm restoring is not exactly a perfect example of a factory correct car. This one is simply a driver, with no intension of having it judged. Now, if your car is a big block, I may be able to supply you with all the info your looking for from my 71 Bowtie?

While I recognize that an online For Sale section would have an adverse impact on the Driveline I would view it as a welcome addition for the NCRS. It would be helpful to both buyers and sellers to have a more timely venue for sales and purchases. I suppose it could be argued that only a small percentage of NCRS members participate on-line. Being one of them I am in favor of it

I like it but.....

1.) It would water down the Driveline

2.) Most members do not use the DB (or the Interent) so your audience is limited, and unfair to those PC challenged.

The parrallel I aways hear is so and so Forum has one we don't... Well unlike most online forums this "Society" started many years before Al Gore invented the Inet. We are stuck using dead trees to sell our junk (for now) It will change someday. On a good note it's tough to read the DB in the bathroom. Can't use it for TP in a pinch either.

Another yes vote...real time, click on link to respond, ask questions, can link to pictures or upload one (more?) pictures...in the end, the club supports the car...not the club...and of course, what goes around comes around...more sales, more new owners...more new owners, more club members

Pehaps a hybrid approach. Publish the Driveline electronically, 2 weeks after the dead tree version gets mailed. Make it searchable with pictures and allow advertiseres to remove the ad when part/car is sold.
