Fastener engineering reviewed every single fastener release, and there's no way that mismatch would fly.

    I'm not "up" on that particular attachment, and I'm assuming the hole in the anchor plate is machine-threaded.
    It appears that the bracket in question may be one from a mid year FI car?

      Are you referring to the bracket in Lou's picture? Lou bought that car, a 62 fuelie, from the original owner within the last 2 years. It is the latest documentable 62 with a large X air cleaner (as you know, used primarily on 58-61)
