57 Glass Date Code Question

I was looking through the archives for information on date codes for my 57. I saw a few discussions about C2's and up that say the glass date should precede the production date of the car by 1-6 months (and up to a year is acceptable).

Would that be correct for a 57 as well?

i'd order the glass about 2 to 4 months prior to build date of your 57. a year peior not unheard of but why raise a red flag ?mike

My window glass is original on my 57 #3745, it is dated Mar 57. The car was a May 2, build date. Approximately 2 months
