With my dash apart I find that the defroster duct is loose under the dash. It looks like it uses the same bolts that the speaker mount uses. Is that correct?

The two speaker grille studs closest to the windshield also attach the two forward legs of the defroster outlet duct to the dash panel; there's a third defroster duct attachment on the passenger side of the speaker opening that uses a small carriage bolt and nut. Re: Defroster Duct Mounting Screws
John - Great picture. It really helps I'll add a few more items to my parts list.
You may be interested to hear my day was consumed on another task where your advise was used.... even though it was from 2004. I consulted the Archives to learn about flushing and filling the cooling system. This is another in my long line of firsts. Anyway the posting you did on filling the cooling system via the thermostat housing really made sense. I also got some good recommendations for antifreeze from an old Duke Williams posting. The only thing not covered was the "gosh darned" lower radiator hosing being permanently bonded to the lower rad outlet. I finally resorted to the trusty utility knife and added a lower radiator hose to my parts order. The fill of the radiator system will await the arrival of the new hose but your advise will be used.
This discussion board is an invaluable resource to a novice like me. Thanks again for the help.
