Never thought to post this picture on this forum, but seems like a good idea... Does anyone recognize the '57 in this picture? Certainly different. This is what my car looked like in 1971, when it was owned by someone in Yonkers, NY. Please let me know if you do. Thanks.

Re: Still Lost In Yonkers
Ron,
Sorry, no help...BUT... is that a Dodge/Plymouth super stock scoop? I don't think Zora is listed as a user of this board, and that's probably good in this case. I love old pictures of old cars with the young guys who loved them.

Re: Still Lost In Yonkers
It looks like a Ramchargers scoop. Popular in the early '60's. It was gone by the time I got the car, but whoever put the scoop on also took it off. Underneath the scoop was a round hole, I'm thinking that a funnel type velocity stack came through from the carb. Early ram air! The hole was filled with a piece that was perfectly fitted, chipped edges and all. He must have cut the hole with a hack saw, and kept the piece. Odd look for a Corvette. That's why I thought perhaps someone might remember it. I've traced owners back to the guys in the picture, who said the car was purchased in Yonkers. No other info. Thanks, Ron
P.S. That picture was taken in Croton, NY.- Top
