I need to replace the radiator in my '76 Vette, but before I puchase the replacement, I must know if my Vette is an "Early 1976", or a "Late 1976" - how do I determine this???

Is the original radiator still present? Check with the vendor you are buying from and discuss exactly which radiatior you have. If it is not present, he should still be able to tell you what to order.Comment

The best way is to look for a broadcast code tag soldered to the radiator, usually on the right side tank but sometimes located elswhere. If the tag says ""MC", "MD", "ME" or "MG", it's 1st design. If it says "MK", "MH", "MI", "MJ" or "ML", it's 2nd design.
Another way is to look at the shroud. The 1st design shroud uses STUDS at the bottom to attach the shroud to the support brackets. The 2nd design uses a shroud with no studs at the bottom and the shroud is retained by clips.
Yet another way is to look at the radiator support. The 1st design has no transverse "shelf" at the bottom of the support. The 2nd design has a transverse "shelf" at the bottom of the support.
