63 clutch cross shaft fitting versus plug

I haven't received the new 5th edition yet cause I didn't order it until last week. But I heard at least 300 of you out there got yours already.
So here is my simple a question.
Thru the grape vine I hurd a rumor that the 63 clutch cross shaft is actually supposed to have the cheap grease fitting as shown in the AIMS.
I hurd CC's new book also agrees with this info.
Just wondering with great suspense if this is actually fact or fiction???
Also wondering what the key guy PL is gonna do with all those boo coo fake orange plugs he has been pushing off on all us un-educated 63 guru's.
You know when my 63 was judged for the first time at Marlborough I had to lay on the ground in the rain with a cheep pair of borrowed rusty pliers and remove the nice new NAPA fitting and put in a nice orange plug to make CC happy. So what's the scoop. Open your manual please and check it out. I asked this question on the other side but got no reply. Thanks, JD

That's close enough. After all CC just puts his hand on the cross shaft to see if the car has one. I don't think he is gonna lay on his back cause will get his brown shorts dirty.

Ain't that the truth Rick. I mean old Collins is probably going nuts for sure. I remember him asking about the fitting versus plug. Have not seen in on the forums lately though.
If that's was all we had to worry about it would be nice.
Don't forget though if you have a red 63 interior it requires red pinch welts. Nice to see RJ agrees with old JD on this. JD
