    3/4" Oil Drain Plug anyone?

I have been looking for an oil drain plug for my 396 with not luck so far. The judging guide calls for a thin headed 3/4" (across flats) plug. All of mine are 9/16" or 7/8" (wrench size). And all the ones I have found on ebay are those two sizes.

Does anyone have a real 3/4" wrench size drain plug for a 65? I would like to see a good picture and get confirmation that the judging guide is correct with the description.

    Thanks - Rob

I believe that is generally accepted as an error in the Judging manual, one of long standing that has gone unrepaired although most of the Chassis Judges know what is correct. I suggested it be changed for the new '63-64 manual, but I haven't seen a final copy to know if it was.

Here's one with a magnet on the tip. Definitely 7/8" wrench required.

The 5th ed. of '65 TIM&JG still calls for 3/4 inch with thin (1/8") head.

Thanks for clearing this up. I guess I was searching for a non-existent part. Lost a point at Waco regional for "too thick". I have 3/16" with sketch on my judging sheet - maybe mis-judged? I will stick with my 7/8" thick head.
