    63 coupe side window trim

I am trying to install window rubber seal that is stapled to SS trim that screws onto outside of door window area at base of window opening. I need to understand how the SS trim fits at both ends of door opening.
    1. How does the SS trim fit the felt window seal that goes around the upper and rear of window opening. This trim has two SS like wires on either side of felt trim that ends near base of rear of window opening.
    2. How far forward does the lower SS trim go in the area of the vent window. This end has a small bend in the SS trim that could around the vent window vertical SS bracket.

Pictures of correct installation on a car would be greatly appreciated.

Rich, Not sure if correct, but here's a few pics(left door) from our 67k mile 63 coupe. I think this area is original.

Thank you very much Richard for taking the time to take these photos. They show the detail I was looking for.
By the way do you happen to know anyone who might have the coupe rear drivers side lower trim piece. This is the lower section that goes horizontally across the base of the glass. I had some one put in my rear glass recently and he bent this piece along with chipping my new paint.

        Thanks again

If you take it to a stainless polisher-buffer they can take the dent out easily and polish it as new. Love those 63 coupes. Paul

Hi Rich, Glad it helped!.....I don't know any locations which would have your trim piece, but I'd agree with Paul that you may be better off getting yours repaired. The SS trim guys can do amazing things with these parts.

            Best Regards.....Rich

              Richard

I'm in the process of doing the same job on my 63 coupe. I have the driver side completely apart and intend on replacing all the fuzzie trim as well as the window wipe. I am using the passenger door as a reference, all of which looks very much like the photos submitted by another member. Additionally, I am replacing the vent and side window glass while I have the entire door apart. Good luck with your project. It's a very tedious job to say the least!
