I was curious if there are any known "real" '66 L72 M22 cars out there?

I beleive Al Grenning wrote a Restorer article about this subject. He also did an excellent and very detailed presentation on this topic at the regional in Wildwood, N.J a few years ago.- Top

Re: 1966 L72 M22... are there any known to still exist?
Pic of this '66 tanker was taken at Cypress 1996. It is the car that was featured on the cover of Corvette News Vol 9, #4, and the article describes the participation of this car #67, and Roger Penske's #6 in the Daytona Continental race of Feb 5th and 6th of 1966. It was described as being Trophy blue (although it seems to be silver now) and had the "heavy duty 4-speed box", although only standard brakes (not J56). Although not mentioned, Penske's red car (before being painted Sunoco Blue) was fully race-prepared [I suppose had M22, J56]. Don't know if the latter car still exists.
The owner of this car back in 1996 was Kurt Worden, who also unearthed the black/black L78, M22 tanker in Canada a few years earlier -- the one that is described in A.Colvin's '65-69 Chev-by-the-Numbers.
