I have a '71 with a build date of D25, November 25, 1970. But, the blue certification tag on the back of the drivers side door with the VIN has a date of 10-70. I know there was a strike in that time frame from September to November, but did GM print up a batch of tags at once for a "guesstimate" of the cars to be built that month (like, having a stack of "10-70" tags made up for all the Corvettes to be SUPPOSEDLY built in October) or did they print them car-by car? I'm just wondering if my tag is a repro or if it is correct due to there being a strike in September-October. It sure looks real, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks!!!
