1971 Door Jamb Certification Label Question

I have a '71 with a build date of D25, November 25, 1970. But, the blue certification tag on the back of the drivers side door with the VIN has a date of 10-70. I know there was a strike in that time frame from September to November, but did GM print up a batch of tags at once for a "guesstimate" of the cars to be built that month (like, having a stack of "10-70" tags made up for all the Corvettes to be SUPPOSEDLY built in October) or did they print them car-by car? I'm just wondering if my tag is a repro or if it is correct due to there being a strike in September-October. It sure looks real, but I just want to make sure. Thanks!!!

    Jeremy
Wasn't it the 70 model year that was affected by the strike?

Interesting Jeremy. Wish you would post a picture or E-mail me with a picture of the blue label. I'll tell you if it's real or not.

Check your VIN to the birthday book to see what is out of line.

            Jeremy,
I was wrong in thinking there was no work stoppage in the 71 model year. Your right in wondering if there could be some certification labels for October 70 when there were no cars built that month. Sorry if I added to the confusion. I do have my original label from a January 71 build #6589, I too, would like to take a look at yours , if you can post a picture.
            Regards,
            Alan

With no cars built during the 10th month a label for that month seems out of line.

Ok, so who is currently making the best repro blue Certification Tags for the door jambs?
