64 Fuel Door ?

Can someone please tell me if there were two versions of fuel doors used during the 64 production year? Reason for asking is recently someone was selling a early 64 which had the red flag on the right. The Judging guide makes no mention of this. Any help is appreciated.

Well, I have never noticed a flag on the right in a 64 lid. I have a few 64 lids and they all have the flag on the left, but that's just a small sample. Maybe the photo in the ad you saw was accidentally flopped over digitally so that the flag *appeared* to be on the wrong side.

Photo was wrong for sure and manual reads red flag on the left (63 &64)
