Door seals for a 69

I bought some repop door seals that are supposed to be made by Corvette Rubber Company for my 69 and this was what I got.

As you can see the ends are totaly different than my originals so did I order the wrong ones, did they send the wrong ones, or is this just as good as they are???

Greg, Corvette Rubber is the major supplier for most of the catalog houses. Usually they fit with no problems and usually judge well

That's what I've heard and that's why I decided on them but as you can see these are way different than my originals.

Can you tell by looking at them if they are correct for a 69 coupe or could they be for a vert...or a 68...or... If these are correct then I'll use them but if they are wrong I'd like to talk to the vendor before it's too late.

Greg,
I believe you would know it if you had a coupe weather strip. The rear top of the 2 strips are quite different because of the way 1 butts against the coupe rear door glass strip and the other against the strip that's part of the folding top or hardtop.
Have you looked at the various pieces shown in the Dr. Rebuild catalogue. Do any of those help you at all?
I think it was Terry M. that said even if you could find NOS strip it would probably be too hard and dry to use. We're stuck with what's available.

Well if that's as good as they are today then I guess I'll use them as it. I'm just really surprized that they are as far off from the originals as they are so I was thinking that maybe they were for a vert or even a different year.

I did check Doc's cataloge and it didn't help me much with the door rubbers. I will be ordering the rear vertical window seals from him though because his drawings of those were very helpfull.

Were there small changes as the year/years of production went by? I would think so. The reproductions are so often correct for just 1 moment in time. Although this doesn't help you, the repros for my 71 coupe doors matched well. I didn't know I was lucky. There have been more than a few parts that I've bought and then not used because they are SO different. It's all in fun!!!
