    Carburator Numbers

I am in the process of restoring the carb that came on my
January built, 340hp car. Appears to be a service replacement
due to the 3/16 number height? # 3461S, CJ3 stampings, no tag.
What does the CJ3 tell us? How do you think this carb will judge?

Thanks in advance for your info. This my first post... Steve

      Steve,
Sounds like your CJ3 3461S is from a early 64 car. I know for a fact they were used early in production probably until supply exhausted. The C would indicate third revision (probably some change in jetting), J is the month of September because there is no I letter used and 3 indicates year.
I am not familiar with how it will judge but someone else will jump in I'm sure.
