    Blomington Gold Judging Standard

    Hi all,

First off let me say how great the new format is. Extremely easy to use. Now for my question. Can anyone with prior Blomington experience explain to me what standards are used during judging? Is it equal to NCRS standards or is there a seperate book used? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Craig

There is a book of judging standards -- which you can get from Them. Contact information is on their web site. There is NO Bloomington Gold judging manual. On the other hand something like 80% of their judges also judge for NCRS. If you have been around many NCRS meets, especially regionals, you will see a lot of familiar faces in Illinois the last weekend of June.

The previous owner of my 71 had the car judged through Bloomington, and it earned the Benchmark. Along with the awards the car is listed on the Registry? Where can I find this registry on line? The web site was no help, anyone? Thanks Kevin

Kevin, to my knowledge, there is not a registry of BG award winners.

            Hey Dick,

Ralph Cramdon is a good picture choice for you. Does Reba have a picture of Alice as her avitar?

Thank you Dick! All of the awards earned were given to me, along with numbered gold pins. The numbered awards and the number on the pin matched. This lead me to believe that there was some type of record being compiled? Perhaps the Bloomington folks will follow the NCRS, in updating their web site?

In fact on the old board Blomington questions were referred to there web site.

I do know for a fact that the Bloomington office keeps all records of the cars ever judged and results. A gentleman recently wanted to buy one of my cars that had earned a Bloomington Gold and was Survivor judged, he had been in contact with David Burroughs (CEO of Bloomington) and David had his secretary pull the records for my car from years ago. I don't know if they will do that for anybody that asks, but it was confirmed that records are kept. I just don't think there is a public access listing of them.
